Spring back to the free-spirited 70s in these fun and flowy fashion pieces...

Spring fashion

Do you feel it in the air? Spring is coming, and with it comes a new set of trends to experiment with. This seasons catwalks were pretty much solely inspired by the peace & love motif of the 70s, so get ready for flowy pieces, denim, military inspired garments, leather, and lots of peaceful whites and neutrals tones.

Hippie Trapeze Dresses

No matter if its short or in the form of a maxi dress, loose trapeze dresses are making a comeback this season. It’s even better if they are made of airy and flowy fabrics like chiffon. This silhouette is very evocative of the laid-back and free spirit of the hippie style, and recently models have graced the catwalks in everything from bright colors, to white, to floral prints. This is a great style for everyone, but if you want to accentuate your curves more, all you have to do is add a fun belt. How about finding one in embroidered leather to go with our next theme?

Spring Leather

Leather is a great material to keep you warm during those chilly spring days. It makes for the perfect transitional fabric! This season, expect to see way more than black and brown jackets. The runways were filled with everything from maxi dresses to jackets to skirts in all sorts of colors. So, go ahead: treat yourself to a more “out there” leather piece to spice up an all black or white ensemble.

Everything Denim

Denim Fendi Spring 2015

Denim is a classic staple in almost everyone’s closet, and this season it’s going to be everywhere and in all forms and varieties. Don’t limit it to a pair of jeans or a jacket. Just like its leather counterpart, denim is appearing in dresses, shirts, and the like right now. Still have that denim dress from the early 2000s? Now is the time to resurrect it! Add a furry vest, leather boots, and let your hair free to evoke the 70s vibe that’s coming to us this spring in full force.

Power to the people, y’all. The 70s are back.
