Music | El Capitán

Juan Luis Guerra's new single, El Capitán, is smoking hot and ready to get your 2016 off on the right track...

Get ready for the fourth single form Juan Luis Guerra‘s hit album, Todo Tiene Su Hora. After a very strong launch, Todo Tiene Su Hora is still gaining momentum, and this new single, El Capitán, is taking over the charts just like the previous three.

“This is an innovative album. Even though we continue with our traditional genres, which are merengue, bachata, son and salsa, the instrumentation on this album is completely different. We used strings, violins, instruments commonly used in classical music and we adapted them to the bachata… we try to bring happiness to people even while addressing a social issue,” said Guerra about the album.

A true Texan at heart, she also believes in the power of cowboy boots, that the stars at night should always be big and bright, and that everything (especially the food) is bigger in Texas. When she's not writing or editing she enjoys curling up to read a good book (or three), going on grand adventures (the more walking involved, the better) with her adoring and adorable husband, bright colors (in clothes, cooking, and everything else), and going barefoot.
