“Cris began his Washington career at the law firm of Steptoe & Johnson, where he worked on policy issues related to international air transportation. Cris’s career then took him to the government affairs firms of Alcalde & Fay and The Ferguson Group, managing local government and transportation clients. He specialized in security, infrastructure, transportation and telecommunications issues. He then served as both the federal and state public policy manager for the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA), where he advocated on cybersecurity, telecommunications, trade, and internet issues before federal and state elected and appointed officials. In this capacity, he served as CompTIA’s representative to numerous organizations including the Information Technology Sector Coordinating Council and the Whitespaces Coalition.

Since 2008, Cris has headed the North American Government Affairs for Dell, managing advocacy before federal, state and local policymakers in the U.S. and Canada. In that role, he also leads Dell’s global cyber-security public policy efforts, and coordinates Dell’s corporate social responsibility activities in Washington, D.C.

Cris joined the CHLI Board of Directors in 2008. He has served on several committees and always finds the time to mentor our current fellows and alumni. His skills in strategic communications, international diplomacy, and public policy have been invaluable to CHLI’s success.”

Congratulations, Cris!
