Carla's Tips: Beauty Finds for Your Body, Lips & Eyes

Latina Carla Ortiz's Beauty PicksI was really excited when I received my Glamour magazine on the mail this week along with the first edition of Glam Belleza Latina magazine. A magazine that will give us beauty tips, ideas and inspiration having in mind that although we might all be Latinas we can also look very different from one another. Like cover star, Jennifer Lopez said: “Latin beauty is the rainbow. We have black, we have white, we have caramel. We have blondes, we have blue eyes, we have brown eyes, we have the darkest of the dark skin. Latin beauty is for everyone.”

If my grandmothers and mother are any testament to this, Latinas love pampering and taking care of themselves. Beauty is something we do to not only look good, but to feel good from the inside out. There are three beauty rituals that I got to see my mom do over and over again and will always make me think of her. These are wearing black eyeliner, applying lipstick in bright and fun colors (her favorites are coral colored ones!) and the use of fragrance. To this day, even living far from home I cannot live without my eyeliners (I sort of did my own take on it and wear other colors other than black) and cannot leave my apartment without wearing perfume.

Here I share with you my all time beauty trifecta picks!
